ATTORNEY-SUPERVISED PARALEGAL SERVICES

When DVE is retained by a licensed attorney or law office, delegated paralegal services are performed under that attorney’s direction and supervision. The supervising attorney retains responsibility for legal judgment, final review, approval, and use of the work product.

PRO SE DOCUMENT SUPPORT

For self-represented—or pro se—individuals, DVE may provide limited nonlawyer clerical and document-support services. These may include typing and formatting client-supplied information, entering client-selected information into standardized forms, organizing exhibits and records, preparing factual chronologies from client-provided information, compiling publicly available legal resources, and formatting materials for attorney review or submission by the self-represented individual.

DVE does not select legal remedies or forms, determine claims or defenses, apply law to individual facts, establish legal strategy, predict outcomes, represent clients, negotiate as legal counsel, or guarantee that a document is legally sufficient or will be accepted.

LEGAL RESEARCH

Legal and public-record research may be compiled for attorney supervision, informational organization, or independent review. Research materials are not accompanied by personalized legal interpretation or advice concerning how the law applies to a person’s circumstances.

NO ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Use of this website, communication with DVE, or purchase of any DVE service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Individuals should consult a licensed attorney regarding legal rights, legal interpretation, representation, deadlines, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
